Canada, It's Complicated

CANADA, IT'S COMPLICATED The ever-hilarious Mary Walsh is the brains behind this sketch-and-satire-stuffed laugh fest examining the tragedies and triumphs of Canada. Written by a diverse cast of Canadian talent, the performance also evolves with each showing, as filmed interviews with locals at each tour stop become woven into the finished piece. Spatz Theatre, 1855 Trollope Street, Fri Sep 15, 8pm

ALI HASSAN: MUSLIM INTERRUPTED The host of CBC Radio and SiriusXM's Laugh Out Loud brings the funny to The Carleton! The Carleton, 1685 Argyle Street, Tue Oct 24, 7:30-10:30pm

THE BEST OF THE FEST The all-stars of Halifax's Comedy Fest return for a night of biggest hits (er, biggest ha-has?) that sees Debra DiGiovanni gripe about skincare and the appropriate time to congratulate yourself post-workout, plus sets from K. Trevor Wilson and Sterling Scott. Casino Nova Scotia, 1983 Upper Water Street, Sat Nov 25, 7:30pm, $40

HA! HA! HA!IDAYS A swank option to celebrate the holiday season, this show features a buffet dinner, dance and comedy show. World Trade and Convention Centre, 1800 Argyle Street, Sat Dec 9, 7:30pm, $74
