The most perfect swim of the summer happened at Rainbow Haven Beach. It was late August and early evening and we had chips. Tuesday beachgoers sat in their respective spots. Dogs and babies and toddlers ran amuck. The seaweed was washed in, so the swim began with 20 flamingo-like strides out to sea. The sky was so blue. Soon it was almost all pink. The water was warm and calm. Standing chest deep, letting the quiet rolling waves rock you back and forth, the sky changed again. It was good floating water. Felt like a gift, that swim at Rainbow Haven Beach.
