OBEY’s back to make your May long weekend wildly, wonderfully weird with sonic stylings like your ears have never heard before.
The four-day sound and music fest boasts uber-dancable Kudro beats courtesy of Portugal’s Nídia, emotional catharsis with the energy-cleansing rhythms of duo ONO and classical lute playing by Chinese literati-inspired Liu Fang.
Rounding out the announcement is saxophonist and composer Joseph Shabason, NYC underground noise queen Pharmakon, composer and percussionist Sarah Hennies and sound healer Anaïs Maviel.
Your chakras will be aligned, your soul ready for the new moon and your eardrums melted from their journey through the sonic wilderness.
Early bird festival passes are now on sale for $82.66 and more info on the lineup can be found at obeyconvention.com. While you're waiting for more names to drop, check out this video of Pharmakon perfroming live at Detroit's Museum of Contemporary Art:
