Be Well, Well Be | Shoptalk | Halifax, Nova Scotia | THE COAST

In a historic port town the past always seems present. Be Well Spa (2110 Robie Street) found its home in a Queen Anne shingle-style house built in 1898. Originally the location was a doctor’s house, during the Halifax explosion it served as a temporary hospital and over the past few years it’s been a seniors home. These days it’s a therapeutic spa that combines naturopathic practices.

“I have been in practice for 14 years and have seen the interest in organic foods and taking more responsibility for what we put in our bodies grow,” says Dr. Cheryl Lycette. “I have also seen more of my patients trying things like chemical peels and Botox and this concerns me due to their harshness and possible side effects. I think it’s the right time to offer people alternatives. It is possible to slow the aging process and fell pampered without feeding your skin chemicals.”

Be Well Spa incorporates organic, local and eco-friendly amenities for the spa and uses non-paraben, chemical-free, non-petroleum, organic skin and body care products. For global rituals, body treatments, facials, messages, anti-aging, professional waxing and more call 422-2767 or visit www.bewellspa.ca
