After 50 years in business, the folks at the Ardmore Tea Room know their stuff. Cook Gilbert Warren figures there’s a tried and true formula at work: “The prices are cheap, it’s the kind of food you’d get at home, and there’s lots of it,” he says. Breakfasts are the big draw, but some folks come for another reason: “We’ll do just about anything a certain way if you ask for it,” Warren notes. “We had a guy that asked for a dozen eggs but just one yolk, and another guy comes in for a Caesar salad with gravy.”
