The Armview’s view isn’t too shabby from the patio on a hot summer’s night, but we’re willing to bet it’s what’s going on inside this restaurant and lounge that keeps winning over readers. The family-run joint known for its big burgers, homey entrees, lazy breakfasts and thick milkshakes celebrated something a lot bigger than a Best of Halifax gold win this summer when it turned 65, and it seems to be living up to the “only gets better with age” expression. The food here is consistently classic, the decor is a stylish, nostalgic throwback and the service is as warm as the bread pudding.
