All aboard for Vinnie Carponzo

Michael Ray Fox sees the light at the end of the tunnel after 10 years of production.

If you’ve always thought the Music Room (6181 Lady Hammond) would be an amazing place to watch a movie, your wait is over. Tonight at 9pm ($10), the music venue is hosting the premiere of local filmmaker Michael Ray Fox’s Why Vinnie Carponzo Hates Trains, plus some short films and a presentation. Vinnie (David Cantwell) is apparently a “smooth-talking and mildly deranged gangster who is the head honcho of a carefully planned bank robbery.” Trains and bank robberies have a great old romantic history (unlike the jerk-ass who tried robbing Planet Organic on Quinpool---you’ve got some vegan karma a’coming), so expect this to be fun. Plus there’s a soundtrack from local musicians like Ryan Cook, Nathan Wiley and Steven Bowers.
