condolences to Ron MacLean | Sports | Halifax, Nova Scotia | THE COAST

typical Olympics--you're sitting there laughing at Martin Short's synchronized swimming, and then CBC sports hunk Ron MacLean comes on to explain that his mother just died about two hours ago. She's been sick with pancreatic cancer for a long time but she broke her hip about 14 days ago, so his wife went home early to deal with that. He was very philosophical about not being there with his mom in her last moments, but admitted to still being in shock.

So it looks like he's taking off early to deal with the arrangements. We'll miss you, Ron baby. XO
