First it was old-old-school hip-hop. Then it was grey-hair metal. And now, nostalgic new wave (Blondie at the Casino) and ska fans are reclaiming their past. The English Beat is skanking its way to The Paragon Theatre on November 26 at 9pm, with openers The Idlers. Still fronted by Dave Wakelin (but tragically no Ranking Roger, who now performs his own version of the band), expect Beat and General Public hits, plus new material.
