Rammer | Music | Halifax, Nova Scotia | THE COAST

Toronto's thrash lords Rammer are coming back to Halifax for two glorious shows on Saturday, December 8 at The Pavilion (6pm, $7) with Terratomb, Thy Flesh Consumed, Black Moor and Incarnation of Plagues, then at Gus' Pub (10pm, $6) with Thy Flesh Consumed>, Talksick and Iron Fist. And they have an agenda. Put succinctly by vocalist Dave Plisskensen, "Just thrash and kill until the entire east coast of Canada sinks into the briny depths." Some fans might be wondering if they can pick up the new Rammer split seven-inch on Relapse Records, or their album Siege of Madness, but you're going to have to wait until January or February. "The original cover we had planned made the label a bit uncomfortable," says Plisskensen. "So we had to push back the release date to allow for a new, more acceptable cover." The intrigue surrounding Rammer makes them prime gossip, but Plisskensen keeps his band's business under lock and key, as "The world isn't ready for what goes on in our van."
