Self-recorded and produced by Asif and Shehab Illyas and Adam Dowling, this disc is an excellent example of artists fully in control of the creative process from start to finish. 7 Directions is a fully realized, idealistic pop-rock gem in these days of trite irony and calculated standoffishness, distinguished by a broad sonic palette and sincere, skilled vocals.
