Billie's Blues Revisited | Arts & Culture | Halifax, Nova Scotia | THE COAST

There’s a little bit of a lot of things in “Billie’s Blues Revisited.” There are snippets of powerful song from Taryn Della and the late, great Lady Day. There’s poetry by spoken word artists Reed “iZrEAL” Jones and El Jones –poetry that carries you away on rhythmic waves to times and places you’ve never been before. There’s Della’s edgy standup that makes you laugh and makes you think. It’s forty-five minutes of education and entertainment, well worth the price of admission.

“Billie’s Blues Revisited” plays at the DANspace, 1531 Grafton St. on Saturday, Sept 1st at 8:30, Sunday, Sept 2nd at 4:00 pm (ALL proceeds from this show will go to help pay the school fees of kids from Uniacke Square who attend Citadel High.), Sunday, Sept 2nd at 9:15, Friday Sept 7th at 7:15, Saturday Sept 8th at 8:00 and Sunday Sept 9th 3:15. $8.
