Printing since 1993, The Coast is a general interest publication and an online destination for young, active Haligonians. The Coast print edition comes out every Thursday, featuring long-form stories with an emphasis on local urban issues, arts, music, entertainment and restaurants. Every week, The Coast publishes comprehensive music, movie, gallery, dance, theater and museum listings to our city.
The Coast is a controlled circulation weekly, printed in a tabloid format on newsprint. More than 24,000 copies are distributed around the HRM at over 650 locations.
As a service to our advertisers, we provide complimentary typesetting and design services.

Online Production Specs & Guidelines
The Coast's City Guides are stand alone, full colour, digest sized glossy publications. There are five editions per year: Green Halifax, Food & Drink Halifax, Best of Halifax
, Homes Halifax
and Buy Local
. Each edition is distributed to restaurants, bars, boutiques, shops, the Halifax airport and various hotels around Halifax. The guides are also available at conventions, workshops and in university frosh packs.
If you would like to partner with The Coast on an upcoming event or promotion, consideration for sponsorship requires a written proposal, sent by email to email@example.com
. Only written requests will be considered.
Proposals must contain the following:
• Event specifics, including date, time, location and description of event;
• A clear, concise outline of what your organization is seeking from The Coast;
• Information on what sponsor benefits your organization is offering The Coast as a sponsor.
The Coast cannot consider cash sponsorships at this time.
All written proposals will be reviewed and responded to within 20 business days of receipt.
