Touring Green - Blog 24: Borden to Saskatoon (June 14)

Where We're Going, We Don't Need Roads

Luckily, I was able to catch a lift from the kind people at Sargent's Farm back to the road as my tires were not strong enough for the off-roading that mountain bikes could handle. In the process, however, I managed to lose the speedometer capabilities (note: this is foreshadowing for later events).

A short bike (against the wind again) into Saskatoon (while listening to the always amazing Broken Social Scene) brought me into The Senator a day early to get ready for the gig the next night at Amigos. With a little grace period and the internet situation not letting me get any more work done for the night I decided to see Knocked Up as it had been getting good reviews in every Weekly from Vancouver to Saskatoon and I'm glad I did see it; Judd Apatow has earned permanent recommendation status in my books with his recent producing and directorial efforts: 40 Year Old Virgin, Anchorman, Talladega Nights.

"Today is your day! Your mountain is waiting. So… get on your way!" - Dr. Seuss
