In the local world of men’s formal wear, Raad Daniel occupies a special place. His may be the only business in Halifax selling suits where the owner is also the tailor on staff. His store The Suitor Clothing Company (1535 Dresden Row, 429-7979), open since August 2008, offers brand-name suits---Ralph Lauren, Calvin Klein, Kenneth Cole, BCBG, Donald Trump---and makes them look good on you: “If you were to come in and try on something that best suits your body-type,” says Daniel, “we’d do the enhancement to best suit the fit.” Daniel’s experience is in costume design in film and on stage, so he should be able to make you look especially sharp in some fine threads. Oh, and in case you were wondering, Mr Daniel is part of the same family that runs Daniel’s Tailor Shop in Park Lane Mall.
