STUNNER. Killer smile (seriously—smiles are not something I take lightly—this photo doesn’t do him justice!), killer plaid and killer boots make for an AWESOME fashion explosion on Spring Garden Road late Friday afternoon. I had met this particular gem at an HPX event the week before and he remembered me! He also remembered how in the past year or so people have taken to calling me "Janet." I don’t know why, I can’t explain it but somehow when I introduce myself over the phone OR in person I get Janet and not Danna. Example;
“Hi, my name is Danna”
“Hey Janet! What’s up?”
My friends have really taken advantage of this. Anyway, if you couldn’t tell—and I really do mean it in the sweetest of ways—Jake likes to shop vintage. A first for youlookfiiine, when I asked what or who inspires his style he gave me a list of names! Sid Vicious from The Sex Pistols, Johnny Depp and Ed Sedgwick (who plays Chuck Bass on Gossip Girl—Jake swears his inspiration comes from the real life Ed and not the drama ridden prepster, Chuck). His flannel comes from The Black Market in Toronto, his hometown. Thanks, Jake. ‘Twas an absolute delight to chat with you.
