For the fourth year in a row (if we aren’t counting 2020 and 2021, when this category and the places to dance were in quarantine) Seahorse Tavern takes home the gold. If you haven’t sweat through your shirt while dancing your face off in the Seahorse’s cavernous depths you actually haven’t lived. This dance floor will always keep you entertained with something new to get excited about every week, whether it’s Retro Night, the Jam, or any variety of live music and DJs. As talent booker Jeff Pineau told The Coast in 2019, “I think there’s an entire culture of people who love to dance, party and have a fun night out, but dislike the atmosphere and vibe of most downtown dance clubs. The Seahorse tries to provide an antidote to that.”
