Best Place To Dance

Reflections Cabaret

Gold Winner Reflections Cabaret

Silver Winner Pacifico

Bronze Winner The Seahorse Tavern

“Cheap drinks, good DJ and a huge dance floor,” one reader says of Reflections, succinctly explaining the lure of this year’s gold winner. Add in the “comfy couches” another reader waxes poetic about and the ever-popular student Friday, and you’ve got the recipe for success. The building housing Reflections will be torn down soon, and owner Mike Schmid is looking for a new locale for what is really a Halifax institution, but so far he’s been frustrated moving the cabaret license. So be sure to visit often over the next few months, before we lose this classic bit of Halifax history.

Police reports say it probably wasn’t a local who laced the clam chowder with PCP on the set of Titanic. Whodunit?
