A versatile shooter always out on the town—we’re talking weddings, events, press photos, portraits and live music—Stoo Metz is doubly happy with this year’s Gold, since it’s his second in a row. “This past year has been one of the best years of my photography career, and it’s all thanks to the amazing people of Halifax,” he says. “This is quite literally what I’ve wanted to do since I was five years old, holding my dad’s camera and doing my first photo shoot.
