A new group popped up on Facebook this week with a purpose that I can definitely get behind: “Nova Scotia Gig Posters” creator Cara MacDonald seeks to collect all your old gig posters and put them online in a searchable archive. Holy balls that’s awesome. 300 posters have already been sent her way, and on the group’s wall you can get a tantalizing peek at the first few scanned images, including posters from the 1998 Misfits show at Olympic Gardens and an extremely old-looking “Dr. Skankworthy” poster from the Double Deuce. Check out the group and send your scanned posters to [email protected].

Edit: There are tons of new posters on the group wall now. Definitely worth a look.
