Why should we, as a people pay for people who fail in business? When should we reward someone who ran their company to the ground? I’m sorry, but I find myself, making a fraction of what an auto worker makes, not even counting the benefits, feeling nothing for their union. I detest unions for reasons too numerous to count. They could have seen the writing on the wall. They became greedy, lazy, and complacent. In all honesty I pray to god they fail, that way they could actually make a salary that is reflective of the real world situation. Who caused the emergency money not to be handed? The unions, with all their greed, refused to take a pay-cut! How the hell could you support such arrogance? I’m sorry, but if your company is going under and you are BEGGING for the government to bail you out, then you are in NO position to be making $75/hr. Not even $8.65/hr because your bloated wages help contribute to the bottom line.

Then you have to deal with the board of directors and management. They need to be fired, wholesale, because they ran the company to the ground. American greed and excess caused them to go under, and as a result, you see firsthand the power of the American union. The unions are supposed to have a savings plan for strikes and other unforeseen uses. It is time to pay your members, and time to be held accountable for holding your employers by the groin. Good riddance I say. If my business isn’t viable and nobody wants to buy my goods, can I get a cheque from the government too? I think we all know the answer to that.

Don’t bail out the car makers, they can go to Toyota or Hyundai for all I care. People didn’t buy American, so they have themselves to blame.
