Curling

It's never too late to play like a Canada Games athlete (part 8).

Curling
Curling + Canada Games = everybody must get stoned.

HRM residents who want to hurry hard and try their hand at skipping and throwing stones should consult the Nova Scotia Curling Association for more information. Among the city’s several rinks, the Mayflower Curling Club is home to the 2011 Junior Men’s provincial champions and the women’s Canada Games team. It’s also the official venue for Canada Games matches. The club offers a five-week intro to curling starting in September for $60. The CFB Halifax Curling Club is open to both civilians and military and offers membership levels ranging from $60 to $430, depending on your level of interest. And the Halifax Curling Club offers instruction for $15 an hour. But beware---you may wake up the day after your first curling experience with a sore tush.
