Sackville Landing

The boardwalk area along Halifax Harbour is inviting to both locals and visitors, but meeting down there can be difficult. Shops and stalls get added all the time, and the Haligonian tendency to navigate based on personal history instead of actual place names and directions is exacerbated in this harbourside zone that's gone through a lot of development in recent years. But even though most people in Halifax couldn't tell you where something called "Sackville Landing" is on a map, this open space is actually the most recognizable spot on the water. How is this possible? The Wave. The big blue sculpture is landmark, photo magnet, (unauthorized) climbing toy and gathering point. Of course, finding the person you're looking for in a crowd is another challenge.
