I lived on Needham Street in the 1940's, when the public Park was established, and spent my childhood playing in it.
Within a few months of it's opening, I watched in horror, as it was systematically vandalized by local youth.
Benches were doused in gasoline and burned, glass street lamp globes were smashed by thrown rocks, rose bushes were uprooted, groundskeeping equipment was stolen, washrooms were destroyed, the "canteen" was repeatedly broken into.....ad nauseam.
My questions are ...what security measures are being taken to see that there is no reocurrence, how many full-time security positions are planned?

If the answer is zero, history WILL be repeated.
