Oh no, Theodore! gets serious

The Fredricton-based indie rockers might write songs about tough times, but touring We're All Underachieving is nothing but fun.

Oh no, Theodore! gets serious
Guess who?

Oh No, Theodore's Jeremy McLaughlin loves the Dumber and Dumber soundtrack, in fact he'll even go as far as to say it's the best soundtrack of all time. "My favourite part of any travelling we do together as a band is popping in the Dumb and Dumber soundtrack and blaring New Age Girl by Deadeye Dick and everyone singing at the top of their lungs," says front man of Fredericton's high-energy, recently Music New Brunswick award-nominated indie rock outfit. The picture he paints of the band living the "high life" in their 12-seater van is a hilarious one, so it's kind of surprising their first full-length release, earnestly named We're All Underachieving hits on some difficult subject matter. With most of the songs penned over three years ago when McLaughlin used writing to cope with that soon-to-be university grad freakout, and a rough relationship. "I'm really not a sad person," jokes McLaughlin gearing up for the band's east coast tour in support of their LP. And with Deadeye Dick on his driving playlist, we believe him.
