It’s been almost five years since the Halifax Central Library first opened its doors, and this is the fifth year it’s won Best Library gold. Branch manager Kathleen Peverill says it’s so popular because it has space for everyone. She says “People can come attend a concert or learn something new, or meet new friends and attend story time. Create media in our media studios and creative labs or join on a video game,” or “simply come and have a cup of coffee.” For Peverill, seeing people making the Central Library their own every day is thrilling.
