While a background in education might not be the first thing that comes to mind when thinking about blogging, Kayla Short shows it isn’t as much of a leap as you might think. Trained as a teacher but now running her own dot-com full time, Short thinks the secret to her slow and steady rise to success has a lot to do with what she dubs “teachable moments.” “I try to make each blog post something informative, something that people can learn from, but in a super light, fun way,” she says. “Be it a recipe or breaking down a particular look and why it works.”
