Frog Hollow Books

Though she still loves what she does and the people she meets, Frog Hollow owner Heidi Hallett has to admit to a tough year in the bookselling business. “The dollar, the disparity in book prices with the United States, and the economy,” are the real causes of the problem, she says, exasperated. “Books are considered by some people to be luxury items.” The good news is that she has a busy fall season underway, with regular events in the store to help bring people in. With the return of students, coming to the end of this year has been much better. “It has to carry on through the holiday season or things will get scary.” Do you hear that, book lovers? Get on down to Frog Hollow. Read a book! Park Lane Mall, 5657 Spring Garden, 429-3318
