Best Member Of Parliament

Alexa McDonough

Instead of leading her party and criss-crossing the country meeting people, this political veteran has turned her focus closer to home. “I really, really want to be able to say to myself that I’ve been a really good constituency-based MP for Halifax,” said McDonough, who’s been an MP since 1997. “As leader of the party I really felt I wasn’t able to give my heart and soul [to the constituency].”

1st runner-up: Geoff Regan, MP for Halifax West

2nd runner-up: Peter Stouffer, MP for Sackville-Eastern Shore
