It’s only a half-hour drive from town and it offers a number of different sandy stretches, including the somewhat-notorious nude beach, and plenty of dog-friendly trails popular with sojourners, hence the go-to choice for Coast readers. Though, as with any coastal retreat outside the city, there’s no saying what the weather is going to be like until you get there. Fifteen minutes out it could be blue-skied and sunny, and then find the beach encased in a peasouper fog. Or vice versa. But what are you going to do? The beach is the beach, and this is your fave.
