Just because there is a temporary obstruction to the flow of traffic in your lane, be it a bus stopping to drop off/pick up passengers, a cab doing the same, or a city garbage truck doing its thing, does NOT mean you have the right to use the oncoming lane to get to your destination 0.2 minutes sooner. For the love of Velociraptor Jesus, just fucking wait, or at the very least, wait until it is obvious that there are no oncoming cars. I am tired of jamming on the brakes and swerving because YOUR lane is impeded… if worse comes to worst and we do have a head on collision, guess whose fault it will be, "Mr. Wrong McLanerson"? —Swervey McSwerverson
