After 10 years of chilling in the Hall of Fame, the Best Nachos category is back and Bedford favourite Finbar’s has grabbed the corn chip crown. “If nothing else, they’re different,” says owner Michael Casey of the cheesy caramelized onion, portobello, bacon, hot pepper combo that came to be about 10 years ago, after a very short stint of experimenting with some ingredients from the cold line. “It’s the first and only variation we ever tried and we said, ‘I don’t see any need to proceed.’” Obviously, Halifax nacho lovers agree.
