It's supposed to be a gorgeous long weekend, but my guess is that a lot of people are going to be spending it ravaging the racks of Halifax's first Urban Outfitters (1652 Barrington Street), the consistently problematic, yet loved by many, shopping destination finally opens this ~~Friday~~ Thursday.

After months of renos, years of rumours and some time getting to know our beautiful Halifax, the American clothing store chain welcomes you to celebrate its new home—the long-empty Sam The Record Man location—Friday, May 15 from 7-9pm. The celebratory festivities will be hosted by Montreal style blogger and Instagram guru Gabrielle Lacasse, with live music from New York pop duo Tanlines and a special appearance by crop tops. So many crop tops.
