This bitch goes out to all the married ladies who can’t be bothered with their single friends anymore. Have you lost your identity, career and friends now that you won the title of WIFE. I get that you are no longer you–you’re a “we”. Really, I get it. I guess our friendship isn’t worth returning a phone call, now that you have a husband. Who cares about all the times I made you coffee, listened to your troubles; attended your wedding and baby showers and supported you through all your personal and career endeavours. Since tying the knot, you can’t even be bothered to return a simple phone call. But you somehow magically update your Facebook page? Every now and then when your hubby is gone away for work and you get bored, you’ll stroll on by and expect me to be available. Well you can ringie dingie all you like, you will be getting my voicemail. I won’t be making time for you anymore my dear fair weather friend… I’ll be off doing single-people things; dancing till dawn, cooking for one, fucking barflies and sewing cat clothes. —You’re Gonna Miss Me When You’re Divorced

  1. ok, I have to take something back…
if you’re sewing cat clothes, definitely don’t take the dude back to your place…

  2. for fucks sakes, it isn’t even wedding season. Lots of magazines filling the shoppers racks though….

  3. Sewing … cat … clothes.

Why don’t you 2 try sleeping together? Reconnect on another level, ya know.

    *raises eyebrow*

  4. Sounds like she grew up, and you didn’t. She is married, and has children (or child, on account of the babyshower comment), and you sound like a lonely, pushy, sour bitch. Don’t forget to renew your morning after pill prescription, and remember to douche for the next barfly.

  5. Why don’t you grow up and tell her why you don’t want to be her friend. Instead your pulling some junior high passive aggressive bullshit. Be an adult.

  6. Its called growing up OP. At some point in your life you usually find/meet someone to settle down with and have a family with.
You should try it. Its not that bad unless you don’t want to live like that.

  7. Not everyone is going to “settle down” (aka GIVE THE FUCK UP ON LIFE). I’m sure whoever you’re with will love to hear you “settled” for them. I for one don’t want my life to be “not that bad”. EEEUH people, have some self respect and don’t settle for the mediocre.

  8. better make that deliverable to guys too. beccuase a lot get hitched, then fuck you, they have no time for you anymore.

  9. Yes, you’re only “grown up” if you’re married with kids.

This newly married bitch dropped all of her friends when she got hitched, and when her precious new hubby is away at work (and maybe even messing around on her during), THEN she will bother with her friends—and SHE was the one who grew up?

I know annoying-ass girls like this who can’t get enough of their friends when they’re single, but when they get a boyfriend/husband, they disappear. This married chick only associates with the OP when it’s convenient for her. And believe me, she will come crawling back to the OP when/if the marriage fails, seeking support.

I think this is a valid bitch, and the OP has every right to be pissed and hurt for being used by this “friend”.

  10. Honey, just tell her you can’t be a friend only at her convenience, wish her well and move on to make other friends. Lots of women do this; don’t take it personally. They’re flawed and not worth your angst.

  11. Have you tried talking to her? It possible she’s just too busy with her life to get at you right now, being newly married and all. Sounds like your kinda dependent on her emotional support/ whatever you gained from the friend ship, and get upset when you don’t receive it. Just drop her a message saying you feel neglected, without being a dick about it.

  12. I think you should be a better friend. If your a real friend you stand by your friends through all the phases of their lives & understand that sometimes you might lose touch. That is a real friend to me.

  13. Being a better friend should apply to BOTH parties, Robyn. And clearly the hitched girl is not doing her part. If the OP experiences a bad phase, will this “friend” be there to help her? Doubt it. She won’t even return her phone calls, for fuck’s sake.

I’ve seen friendships fall apart, either my own or someone else’s, for absolutely no legit reason but because that person (who initiated the breakup) felt they moved on or lost touch, and couldn’t even have the balls to tell that person why. Just left their friend wondering, WHY? Most people move on with their lives. Others, no.

I don’t normally comment but FUCK the subject of this bitch made my blood boil!

  14. Sometimes you outgrow people or they outgrow you. Sometimes it is forever and sometimes it is just for awhile until their lives change or grow. If you react poorly to it you could lose good people in your life that might come back in your life one day. Sometimes people need a break from certain people to grow as a person. Not everyone does personal growth or develop new interests as fast as other people.
I think the sensitive people with this subject should step back and question why they are so upset about it.

  15. Gotta love Robyn. She makes her points in a very concise and tactful manner and is usually right.
The friend thing OP, just move on and maybe you two will rekindle things later on in life. Meanwhile you enjoy dancing for one, cooking for a fucking barfly, sewing cat clothes until dawn, all those things singlehood brings.
