To the post-middle aged lady at the cross walk on the main street, I’m sorry that I misjudged and blocked the side street, making it difficult for the driver turning left. My main goal was making sure I was stopped at the crosswalk and I admit that I should have made a better decision and stopped sooner. However, screaming, “You are rude!” not once, but twice as you stopped by my car was actually pretty inconsiderate yourself. People make mistakes, I was obviously in the wrong and everyone could see from the position of my car but I think that you were equally “rude” to stop and scream at me. Please put yourself in other people’s shoes before you do this again. Just because you are older, doesn’t mean that you are always right or have the right to discipline other people. A simple shrug or look would have sufficed. I knew I was wrong, but now you are too. —Remorseful Driver

  1. OP, sounds like you had the right of way….not the car attempting to make the left hand turn off a side street. You did stop for the crosswalk, which was the right thing to do. That old hag probably had a stick up her ass.

  2. Maybe the woman had been hit by a vehicle before or is blocked off by cars a lot in her travels or is a bitter old lady. Just chalk it up to experience. Approach crosswalks carefully and ignore rude comments.

  3. You handled it better then I would have, the words “GO FUCK YOURSELF” would have been launched by me, right or wrong people need to mind their own matters

  4. I agree smile&wave, every time someone comes at me sideways in public I think to myself “you are so unbelievably lucky that I’m not a lunatic, for all you know I’m a serial killer”

People don’t think about that though, and then wonder why they eventually get flipped out on or worse, physically harmed.

Mind ya business, that’s all, just mind ya business!
