After tallying all the burgers bought from The Coast’s Halifax Burger Bash 2026 with Garrison Brewing, we have a final total for the donation amount received by Feed Nova Scotia.
From April 16-26, Haligonians purchased a total of 79,053 burgers across 150+ restaurants throughout the city. Together, we raised $125,066 in support of Feed Nova Scotia.
For context, Burger Bash 2025 raised $110,042 with 78,473 burgers sold. That’s an increase of $15,024 and 580 burgers over last year. That brings the lifetime total of donations to Feed Nova Scotia over a million dollars.
“Having just wrapped our fourth year as title sponsor of Halifax Burger Bash, we’re really proud of what this event continues to do for Feed Nova Scotia,” says Meg Brennan, Garrison Brewing’s vice president of sales and marketing. “Helping raise money to support Nova Scotians facing food insecurity is why Garrison keeps showing up in partnership with The Coast every year.
“There’s a lot of work that goes into Burger Bash behind the scenes, and our team puts a ton of planning and effort into making sure our restaurant partners have the tools and support they need to make the event a success,” she continues. “We’re incredibly lucky to work alongside more than 100 restaurants whose creativity and energy make Burger Bash what it is.”
Feed Nova Scotia’s philanthropy and engagement director, Thomas Coldwell, had this to say about this year’s Burger Bash results.
“We’re incredibly grateful for the support and participation in Burger Bash this year,” says Coldwell. “At a time when one in four people in Nova Scotia struggle to afford food, community events like Burger Bash help raise critical funds to fight food insecurity across our province.
“Thank you to everyone who contributed to the success of this year’s event, including restaurants, partners, and the many people who purchased and enjoyed delicious burgers. We couldn’t do it without you.”
Feed Nova Scotia utilizes received donations to make life easier for those living with food insecurity, from stocking food banks to providing programming. Donations can be made year-round through its website.
