To the super decorated house near Connaught and Jubilee: you have blown the competition out of the water with you ‘Christmas-Vacation-esque’ decorating! I now make a special trip on my way downtown so that I can enjoy your over-the-top but tastefully done Christmas decorations. The Nova Scotia Power employees must appreciate their Christmas bonus – courtesy of your awesome Christmas spirit! —A Jealous Clark Griswold

  1. AHHH! i love all the houses around there especially the one your speaking about! My mom would die of happiness if she saw this house! Thanks for making my eyes light up at night every time i drive past your house!!

  2. thats the second most decorated house I’ve seen this year….
not that I search them out specifically or anything.

the fantastic waste of power just never ceases to amaze me.

  3. Excellent. But what’s really amazing is you never hear the Greenies harping about the waste of energy or the pollution being added or the contribution to Global Warming or Change or whatever they’ll call it next.

  4. I don’t know what drugs you’re on but I kind of want some if you think that shit like that is impressive.

  5. Don’t speak too soon Tim. I find these grotesque overindulgent displays just another example of energy waste by the pampered inhabitants of a first world nation. If they are saving energy in other ways, well that’s not so bad but somehow I doubt it. If you want a nice energy-efficient light show turn off your lights and look at the stars.

  6. From the owners of the “grotesque overindulgent display” on Cannaught and Jubliee. There’s always one of you every year. Lets not turn this in to something its not. It is to simply provide joy to the people of HRM. As my father likes to say, negitivitey is for those who don’t contribute, always willing to point out the problem but never provide a solution. I suspect your house is as glass as mine, be careful when you throw stones. Oh and have a very merry Christmas , scrooge .

  7. I did Sarah, thank you very much and hopefully you did as well. I like Christmas, just not all the glitter and commercialism that goes with it. I believe the Magi followed a prominent star (maybe a comet) to the manger of one baby Jesus as the story goes. That first Christmas had it’s lights in the night sky. Just saying.
