  1. Who did they want to screw/ I mean sue?

Isn’t a contact sport something with ZERO liability as one would have to sign a waiver?

  2. Anybody here read the paper? Get your heads outta your asses and read between the lines…..maybe my bitch should be towards those who dont care whats going on in this city….exactly paingirl (thanks for being aware)

  3. Its almost unbelievable if you take time to read the court’s ruling….must suck to have to ride a golf cart in Scotland whilst playin’ the private links …
Why has no one picked up on this today?

  4. Duct tape – that’s how Newt’s gonna stack the Supreme Court with Roe v. Wade haters. Jesse Ventura says so….

  5. Well John, if Jesse says so, it must be true. LOL.

As for the lawsuit, it’s no different than anyone else who sues for slip and falls and the award is on the low end. The only reason it hit the media is because it involved a retired judge (who BTW has the same rights as anyone else).

  6. Bro Tim maybe you should familiarize yourself with the specifics before you defend her…its nothing more than a money grab and Im suprised the city isnt appealling this. No wonder community organizations cant afford rental costs…insurance premiums will climb because of her pettiness

  7. What’s so difficult about the specifics. The venue had tape on the floor that partly detached. The retired judge and companion played on a court assigned to them by a member of the staff Court owned by the city and the staff a member of city staff). While backing up (which happens frequently as part of the game) while playing the game , her shoe caught on the tape, causing her to fall down sustaining injuries. As a result she incurred expenses, which during the ensuing trial, were deemed appropriate. As to why the city didn’t appeal, there could have been many, such as not having a legal reason to appeal to it just wasn’t worth the cost. So exactly what don’t I understand?

BTW $30,000, to a retired judge, isn’t a money grab.

  8. And a blade steak is $3.00/lb and a T-bone steak is $9.99/lb, so what’s your point? Yes a cap was stupidly put in place, but it was so ridiculously low ($2,000) that it had to be raised.

  9. I thought my point was obvious, but I’ll spell it out for you. After careful consideration the Prov of NS has established a reasonable limit on the amount awarded in pain and suffering damages to the hundreds (maybe thousands) of Nova Scotians injured in auto accidents each year. Why is that range of award not reasonable in this case?

And what is your point? Are you saying that us scrubs are bade steak but retired judges are T-bones and are entitled to more when they get bruised? That’s not rhetorical.

  10. Ohh my, it gets worse. Poor Liz couldn’t bear the waiting on the Nova Scotia healthcare system’s waiting lists, her golf game was suffering! Got her MRI at a private clinic then her knee surgery at another private clinic in Montreal.

Why not? Step 1 – File lawsuit. Step 2- Book flight to Montreal. T-bone steak indeed!

  11. Just because the government imposed the silly cap on automobile accidents (and just ask anyone injured in an accident what they think about it) doesn’t mean it was right or beneficial for those who suffer. Some injury pain never goes away.

The different steak comparison what to show that there are two different set of civil law involved.

Anyone who can afford it or has insurance can do what she did. And by her doing that the next person in line for an MRI gets in quicker.

  12. just another example of someone not accepting responsibility for themself and it ends up costing everyone. What a god damn bitch….

Waaaa waaaaa waaaaa my golf game… whatever, you probably suck anyway.

And if the knee surgery doesnt happen in THIS province then she should have to pay out of pocket, HER pocket, no reimbursments.
