The Halifax Fringe Festival is an essential event for the city’s arts scene.
Not only is the Fringe an opportunity for rarely-shown and independent works to take the stage. It’s also a chance for the Halifax theatre community to show what they’ve got to a national and international audience. It could also be your chance to see national and international acts and shows that have never been performed in Halifax before now.
Above all, Halifax Fringe is an opportunity to see something that will change your perspective, meld your mind, or empower you with creativity.
In celebration of the 2026 Halifax Fringe Festival, here’s every show happening across the city. Tickets can be purchased from the Halifax Fringe festival website. On top of the shows each day, there is also a Kids Fringe on Sunday, Sept. 6 and Sept. 13 at the Halifax Central Library, as well as a Late Night Cabaret with surprise performances on Sept. 3, 4, 10 and 11. These events are completely free to attend.
