they are paid by said uni., so who gives a fiddler’s fuck, if they sit there all night. you just might need them sometime, and their car won’t start,for some reason. shit happens all the time in uni. cities.
To keep warm and to listen to the Radio….By Radio I mean the 2-way radio. They have equipment in those vans that require power…
If someone attacked you and they didn’t get to you because their equipment was turned off to save the environment would you complain then?

It would be much more constructive to bring this concern to the attention of the student union or security services(who are responsible for the patrol) than it is to piss and moan about it here.
Oh give me a break! OP, why don’t you try spending 8 hours sitting in a car during the month of March in Halifax and see how long it takes you to turn the engine on so you can get some heat?
