Seriously. I’m standing right here. I’m looking at you, two feet away. Yes I saw you pocket that fuckin’ bar. Do you think I’m blind, or just stupid? You and your American Eagle dumbfuck friends should consider yourselves lucky that striking dipshits is a violation of the terms of my employment. I dare you to try that shit again. —That Guy You All Respect So Fuckin’ Much

  1. ah, did you actually say a word to them, or even call cops with a description of them. if no, then what the fuck are you whining to us about. we DON’T give a fuck.

  2. So you did nothing, an if they try it again you’re going to do nothing? Yup that’ll teach them…

  3. you saw them shop lift and did nothing. big man!
how about next time stop them at the door, ask for the $$ or the item. They refuse, lock the door and call the cops. Done.
    I don’t care if it’s for $1 or $100 – it’s just plain wrong to steal

  4. What did you do about it, OB? Seems like all you did was write about it on the internet.
“I dare you to try that shit again”
Why? Next time you’re going to post another bitch about it with even more expletives? lol.

  5. I dunnno if any of you have ever worked a retail job, but it’s actually really hard to do anything about shoplifting. Someone can put all the things they want in their pockets, if you don’t leave the store, no one is allowed to label you a shoplifter. If you lose sight of the alleged shoplifter for a second, you can’t do anything about it because they could have put the stuff back without you seeing it, and if you wrongfully accuse someone of shoplifting, the store can be sued. Employees are told not to approach someone themselves if they suspect they’re shoplifting, because an item isn’t worth your life, so they’ll usually run to tell a manager, who in the end can’t really do anything if you weren’t watching them the whole time. You can’t take their bags/pockets and root through them. Stores would much rather lose the item than risk a lawsuit.

  6. I don’t know why someone would dislike Mel’s comment… she’s just writing the truth. It sucks, but she’s right.

  7. I think OP is less concerned with the stealing of the bar than the fact that they did it right in front of him. It’s disrespectful in OP’s mind. He wanted to punch the dipshit.
In regard to Mel’s post, I undertand why the store wouldn’t want to rock the boat over a $1.00 chocolate bar but the clerk could shout “Aren’t you forgetting something?” when they tried to hit the exit. Embarrass the hell out of them.

  8. OB here; for the record I did call out the BS on sight, bar was returned, they left with the shitty smokes they bought. Just venting my craving for consequences in public is all. Shit like this is what makes fascism so tempting!
