Good job all you Dal frosh standing on the corners collecting donations for a worthy cause. NOW STOP SAYING YOU’RE SUPPORTING CYSTIC FIBROSIS!!! You’re supporting the cure, not the disease. That’s a really important distinction. The disease is doing well without your support, thanks. The research, on the other hand, costs money and that’s what you’re raising at the intersections.

Well I’m not going to donate next time if that is the case.
there’s no money in cures, but there are obscene profits in treating disease
Yup…Cancer, AIDS, ect; are multi billion dollar a year profit makers. The Halifax hosted “run for the cure” for breast cancer, will earn the US based promoter over a million dollars…they are taking a minimum of half of the proceeds.
i was speaking about the ‘disease industry’, whose primary business is the development & manufacture of a myriad of (massively profitable) products to ‘treat’ disease, instead of spending (our) money on R&D into cures & disease preventionand as you mentioned, parasitic event promoters also skim huge profits from sickness & diseasebtw, when was the last time we’ve seen a cure for any major disease, anybody know?
