With a T intersection, I’m allowed to turn right on a red light.
If I’m traveling across the top of the T from right to left, I’m not crossing any lanes, and I have as good a view as any right hand turning vehicle.
Why can’t I go straight on a T intersection? —Straight On A Red Light

Where is this? There are tons of T junctions in the city and I haven’t come across one where you have to stop to go straight.
Makes little sense to moi.
What I DON’T like is that though they are technically intersections which means unmarked crosswalks… no-one fucking stops to let you cross the damn street.
Well there is that road in Dartmouth where the 10 turns up before it makes the right to head towards Mic Mac Mall (if you continued straight, you’d be on the highway). There is Herring Cove and Cowie Hill that’s a big ole T. They have a set of lights at both places.
If the light is red you can’t go straight through. A t-intersection is no different.
Oh, it’s a light…. well doi.
I thought it was something stupid like a 3 way stop.
Because people are bad enough drivers as it is now, don’t complicate the rules of the road anymore.
WHat scares me is the 4 way intersections that are 3 way stops ! ! !
To say I’ve seen dozens of close calls & near misses at that intersection out here, would be an understatement. Its always someone who has stopped & when the one lane that has no stop has people come driving through & Mr/Mrs/Ms impatient decide “FUCK YOU , you piece of #$%^(*& $#!_ …You didn’t stop, like I did”
& they pullout, there’s always little pieces of glass & bumper plastic on the ground there.
I understand why its a 3 way & not a 4 way stop. To keep traffic from backing up & blocking the off ramp of the 102… but its a hazzardous intersection.
Red light=no go. Learn to live with it.
Wtf you talking about Reg? You are allowed to turn right on a red light in NS.
