A group of parents were watching their kids play soccer, and there were other children too young to play, so they were having fun on the slides, and swings nearby. One mom yelled out in front of all the other parents how many times he gets yelled at by his teacher.

Then you, my dear, told him to climb as high as he could on the monkey bars or you would take out his eye, and then you proceeded to throw rocks at him. This was like a bad movie. Then another child got tangled up with your boy, nothing serious, and you yelled out to the little kid, “You mess with my kid, you mess with me,” then ran at him, saying, “You’re toast, you’re toast!” The other boy’s mother actually had to intervene in a polite way, while we all just watched you in dismay. These were little children, under five years old. You may think you’re just having fun (actually, I don’t know that you were thinking at all) but it’s just…so inappropriate. You seem like a reasonably intelligent person. We don’t need to hear your voice booming and bullying everyone, especially children to the point that parents have to intervene. So just…put a lid on it, please. –Bad Behaviour

  1. This needs to be reported… she was throwing rocks at her child!? Do not be a passive bystander, if she is willing to do this in public, who knows what she does in private!

  2. and no, you didn’t call the cops on her, or child welfare. holy shit, you deserve idiot of the year. intervening politely is one thing, but letting it go any further is just fucking plain stupid.

  3. “You seem like a reasonably intelligent person.” Gee, what ever gave you that idea?? I’m with the others – you should have called social services and/or the police.

  4. Even reasonably intelligent parents abuse their children.

After you watched in dismay you should have called the cops. That poor child. I don’t know how I’d live with myself if I saw that and didn’t call the police.

    “Put a lid on it”…
So you’re saying, “please only abuse your child in your own home so that we don’t have to be inconvenienced by witnessing such an act”

Shame on you and everyone else that was there.

  5. Hearing things like this make my stomach turn … and what makes it worse is when the by-stander remains just that. People are too concerned with what someone else will think if they speak up and take action because it’s not their child so it’s none of their business … I don’t give a shit what anyone thinks of me if I’m standing up for a child (even if it’s not my child) who cannot stand up for him/herself. And if the bitch would do this in public, what do you think she’d do privately? OB, I get that you can’t fix it yourself, but you sure can take a step and initiate a process that could make the life of this little person a whole lot better … redeem yourself … see if you can find out who this so called mother is and at least report it so hopefully she can get the help that she obviously needs to become a fit parent. After that, you’ve done what you can and all you can do is hope that the system will take care of the rest.

  6. This has got to be a troll. I can’t see a group of people being that stupid not to call the police, especially you OP.

  7. He was probably out on a one-hour escorted leave and someone tried to pick a fight with him, Meaty.
