To the guy who owns nothing but wool sweaters apparently: you probably shouldn’t wait about a year and a half to do your laundry and then expect to get it all done in one trip to the laundry room. It serves two entire residences there bud, you’re going to have to wait. And furthermore: thanks for running to my washing machine and removing my laundry before it was done so that you could use it…great, can’t wait to see you next weekend!
—fed up with SMU, and not just the laundry part.

Looks like you might just need to stay with your laundry when you do it from now on.
I had to start doing that after my downey balls suddenly started disappearing in my last apt building.
Any laundromats close to smu? You might have a better time doing your laundry there. I found bringing my books/laptop with me and getting some school work done while I put my three or four loads in at the same time wasn’t so bad.
People are assholes when it comes to using common washer/dryers, likely because, in general, no one gives two shits about anyone else and their property. It’s quite a sad commentary on human nature.
Laundromats can be suprisingly relaxing places as well, an added bonus.
but the room’s always so insanely warm… no thanks. I’m glad ours are front-loading and lock when in use.
Remember, you’ll be bored but, as the sign says, don’t ride the washers. Make yourself an ah-hoc version of those shaking table football games and hold a season.
thanks for the advice! the sad part is, i actually WAS in the room doing homework, haha. not paying enough attention to my machine though, clearly. i think a laundromat is definitely the way to go from now on.
and too true about the commentary on human nature…too sad, but too true.
