I have been walking on the road most of the time these past couple months, since I have no other choice. Thank you to the drivers who slow down and give me a wide berth. Fuck you to those who don’t, especially when driving through dirty slush or water. To quote a recent bitch message, I’m walking outside in the winter—and risking my life by walking in the road. Keep your keys in your hand… if cars come too close to them and get scratched, they should have offered you a greater berth.
I took an experimental Psych course once. One of the experiments was to hide and watch how many drivers came to a full stop at a stop sign. Very few did! Then I stood in plain sight with a clipboard and recorded the number who came to a full stop. Almost all did!
I’m not sure if that has anything to do with this bitch but I never pass up an opportunity to tell a little story.
