Once upon a time (March 11, 2010) a thornbird attended a public meeting with respect to Birch Cove/Chinatown Lands, et al. I came away with extreme frustration in a highly agitated state. It was like a “developmental nightmare”. Round-about responses and a rehearsed session of sub-contracted communications given out to the residents and general public. I am insulted by all of it and am not sure I am alone on this feeling. —A. Thornbird

Most of these “public hearings” are scripted with decisions already made. Unless you have something really valuable to say and can back it up with concrete facts, you’re wasting your breath.
