sorry oceanlady i have a bug up me arse about her, she is a right wing hate spewing, best selling author who was trying to give a speech at an ontario uni. she didn’t but mainly because we have different free speech laws in the great north…i loathe her and her ilk
I like Ann Coulter.
I’m not a big fan of what she has to say…but I believe she should be allowed to say it .
If/when people use force to stifle free speech, that takes away from anyone else who is allowed to speak, as far as I’m concerned. Just because you don’t like the message, doesn’t mean you should silence or harm the messenger.
Those who believe that what one person has to say is worth hearing, but what another has to say is not …are hypocrits & I have no time for a hypocrit…even if what they are about to say might be something I agree with.
well me pa would agree with you…we have been having discussions about free speech for most of my life. our laws are different than those in the states, and i deplore what she says but i have changed my opinion once on this topic, maybe i will again…not today
I just read a little about her. Don’t agree with most of it and rarely pay attention to American culture’s opinionists. Her opinion of Canada suits her agenda and is oblivious to that little scuffle back in 1812!
But I can see the analogy to someone who shouts ‘I like Plaskett’ in the LTWWB forum (actually plural ‘cos I like his dad’s music too) and the Coulter woman. LOL!
