Since when is the sidewalk an advertising space? Even if the “paint” is temporary, who gave this company the go ahead to paint the sidewalk. HRM?
Paint the side of a building, and it’s graffiti. Why is this any different? —Mike

apparently this company didn’t have permission from anyone, they thought the rain would wash it away
it’s the non artistic assholes that paint the sides of building, read taggers into that.
I saw this too, on the corner of Victoria and Inglis, and I swear I thought the exact same thing. It is obviously illegal, the company involved should pay for cost of removal. Its not even artistic, its just a fucking stencil

I agree, This really pissed me off when I saw it on the sidewalk. Its public property and NOT ad space !
Make Eastlink pay for the removal! This is bullshit and sets a bad precedent for other companies to do the same.

Gezzz compared to some of the stuff I see on sidewalks now ( Gum , cigarette butts , garbage , dog shit etc ) Its not like our city sidewalks are something to brag about.I dont see why a little temporary advertisement is such a big deal. Relax people.
Yeah I see that crap all over the sidewalks at the Spring Garden Library….as if anyone gives a fuck what is written there. If it weren’t illegal, I’d take a piss on it.

Cranky, I think youre being rhetorical. But Im not sure what point youre making ha.
Bands, although commercial in a sense, are still expressing more ideas through either their postering art, or their self promotion, than a company that has only the interest of hooking up cable. Or bundles.
Mind you, they do provide access to cable and internet, which are forms of expression. Help.
When I saw on at a bus stop on SGR, I thought, “And yet the city forced Chalkmaster Dave to clean up the sidewalk Strange Adventures asked him to draw”.
