Grocery stores try to fool you. It really bugs me that grocery stores advertise something at a per pound price, but when you get to the store, they only sell it in kgs. Then you have to stand there and do the math to figure out if you’re getting the sale price or not. Course I just assume it right, take it home and them my partner bitches at me cause I didn’t get the sale item. I feel swindled and pissed off.
Can’t they make up their minds? pounds or kgs? make a choice!

2.2 pounds. Ask an employee. They’re on the floor, at the register, and customer service. And all the flyers advertise in pound AND kilogram, btw.
Oh yeah that’s what the grocery stores do, advertise the price in Imperial then change and increase the price in Metric. It’s not as if the government wouldn’t notice this rip off or even people for that matter. Trying something like that would be extremely stupid and expensive for a store to do that.
If there’s any question about what you’re getting, weigh it at any of the scales they’re legally required to provide and keep in working order, also, if you don’t trust the analog ones, go over to the deli or meat department and ask them to weight it on one of the digital ones, but they’re less accurate.
Boy, life is tough.
yeah… a ballpark of half or double depending on the way you’re going is so complex. ug, you don’t need to know down to the penny….
So you are angry that you can not convert pounds to kilograms? Or are you mad that your partner reamed you out?
Either way it is not a conspiracy or a way to trick the stupid.
There’s no excuse for not knowing the metric system. Canada has used it for over 30 years now. Everything done by the government is metric. Unless you’re over 50, you should know the metric system.
If you can use a computer, you can learn the metric system of units. No excuses.
10 points for Scott.
…hilarious, dude.
I’m sure I always see both on signs (lower corner). I agree with you all.
